In 2005, SMI Technical was started to address the need for engineering and manufacturing professionals in the Northeast Ohio area.  We developed an approach to staffing that could provide the technical talent our clients requested on an “as needed” basis.

Since the founding of SMI Technical, we have expanded our operation to include temporary-to-permanent hiring options in order to meet the needs of our customers and the changing employment market.  SMI Technical draws upon decades of recruiting expertise, while continuing to grow and improve.

Our new website, launched in 2012, is just another step in our development to provide the highest quality of service to our customers.

As of January 1, 2013 we are pleased to announce that Joel Venes, a local technical recruiter since 2000, has been tapped to lead all searches for SMI Technical. His knowledge of the search industry and documented success give SMI an edge which cannot be matched by other firms.
